From the same team that was integral in the successes of both Beach Blanket Babylon and The North Pole, 19:20 is a carefully thought out bar, light years away from the warehouse world of Great Sutton Street. Designed with Feng Shui in mind, a clean mix of harsh industrial chrome, soft padded red walls and black wood & leather trimmings create a strangely warm environment in the basement.
Meanwhile upstairs the restaurant is a classic mix of wooden floors and straightforward furniture, backed by an art deco stained glass window. An unusually colourful establishment for this neck of the woods, 19:20 has set a trend that we may only hope many more will follow.

1920 is situated in the trendy district of Clerkenwell, 2 minutes walk from Farringdon and Barbican tube stations
The bar has been open since January 2000 and has two floors. They are licensed to 1.30am and have full DJ facilities on both floors.
1920 is renowned for serving the best burgers in town. Alternatively they can cater for larger parties of up to 200 with their individually designed buffet and canape menus starting at £6 per head.
The ground floor has 4 American 8ft tables that can be hired by the hour.
Tables are immaculate and cloth and cushion changes are made every 6 months to ensure the tables are in the perfect playing order. A Mural printed on digital wallpaper hangs the full length of the room and can boast being the longest piece of artwork in a bar in London at 20 metres, again this is changed every six months.
The capacity of the ground floor with the pool tables is 80. The tables can also be moved away creating an open plan area for up to 120 for dancing.
The basement bar holds up to 180 people and has featured in many blockbuster films, music videos and celebrity interviews.

“1920 has had a bit of a face lift upstairs and looks all the better for it, the lunch menu is still a favourite of mine and so are the Friday nights the drinks are good and so to are the staff especially the funny and very hot bar man! I would recommend 1920 for day and nights it's a great little bar.”

“I have been a regular visitor ( esp fridays ) of 1920 since last year and it is fabulous! The deco, the atmosphere, cocktail menu is to die for.... Love the music and service that you get from all staff, definitely recommend a visit. You will not be disapointed... Keep up the good work guys!”

“19:20 is very disappointing. It is not 2 minutes from Farringdon Station (more like 5 at least), the burgers are far from the best in town and on a Friday lunchtime when we went the staff had a bad attitutde. The place looks tired and now dated. They say they replace their cushion covers every 6 months - this looked true, unfortunately the seats were not and needed to be replaced!”
