St Patrick's Day - The Ultimate Irish Knees Up...
…at Waxy O’Connor’s

Waxy O’Connor’s just loves St Patrick’s Day and this year it goes over the top, down the side and dancing into the trees with bigger, better, crazier celebrations than ever before. Join LONDON’S BIGGEST IRISH PUB for a fantastic weekend of big match finals and festivities.

But before you dash to book the Monday off work and plan your bumper weekend of celebrations, let the good folk at Waxy O’Connor’s, pour you a nerve-steadying Guinness.

It’s recommend that you sip it slowly as you savour all the good stuff on offer including the special weekend menu - and if you still can’t decide what St Patrick's Day events to attend, then simply stay put and celebrate on the spot!

There’s absolutely no danger of supplies running low because those hard-working Waxy staff have placed the following orders for the week long party they’ll be hosting:
· 250 kegs of Guinness - that’s a massive 22,000 pints! (Last year, an incredible 11,000 pints of Guinness were sold on St Patrick’s Day alone in London!)
· Double order of Jameson Whisky and Magners Cider
· An extra 500 Guinness pint glasses (they normally lose around 500 each St. Patrick’s Day)
· 1000 sprigs of shamrock to decorate the bars

March 15th - 6 Nations Rugby the Finale. Waxy’s will kick off St Patrick’s Day celebrations on Saturday 15th – the final day of the 6 Nations. First up Italy v Scotland at 1pm followed by Ireland v England in a clash of the titans at 3pm. To end the day’s sport, catch Wales v France at 5pm. No need to worry if you don’t have a golden ticket, we will be bringing the live action to a screen near your barstool.

March 16th - if you are in London on Sunday 16th why not pop in for a Waxy’s All Day Breakfast to cure your hangover while you take in the St Patrick’s Day Parade. Renowned Irish band Bible Code Sundays will come straight off the stage from Trafalgar Square to join us at Waxy’s for a gig from 7.30pm.

March 17th - St Patrick’s Day itself will be celebrated at full throttle at Waxy’s London. Doors open at 11am to allow the party to begin early and will remain open until 1am. It’s free admission at Waxy’s with plenty of fun and giveaways, including limited edition Rugby Shirts, live music & even a live broadcast from Talksport with Paddy Power, the man himself between 1 and 4pm.

Don’t miss out, visit Waxy's London this St Patrick's Day weekend. And after all, remember it’s time for everyone, not just those lucky 70 million or so worldwide who can trace an Irish ancestor, to join in a monster celebration!

A potted history of Saint Patrick
He was an amazing man, who single-handedly persuaded the wild, carousing, pagan Irish to convert to Christianity 1,600 years ago. Today, in recognition of his extraordinary achievement in winning over the world’s most gifted debaters, St Patrick’s Day is when prayers are offered up for less gifted missionaries all over the world who are still trying to get their message across.

Waxy’s London is based at 14-16 Rupert Street London W1D 6DD. Open from 12pm to midnight on Saturdays, 12pm to 10.30pm Sundays and 11am to 1am on Monday 17th. Telephone 0871-223-3621
