Celebrate St Patrick's Day at O'Neill's

It's Monday Madness at O'Neill's in Lonodn on St Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated around the globe on the 17th March. For one day, people of all nationalities celebrate everything Irish - in fact, O'Neill's expects to serve nearly 90,000 pints of Guinness during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Luckily, you don’t need to travel to Dublin to enjoy the craic – just visit your local O'Neill's in London. Falling on a Monday, O’Neill’s is expected to be rammed to the rafters as locals celebrate one of 2008’s biggest parties following the culmination of the weekend’s Six Nations championship.

“We’re expecting to have a great turnout on St. Patrick’s Day, just like last year,” O’Neill’s Wardour Street manager Tom Gilvarry said. “The pub is open late so that everyone can celebrate in style and as usual we have music and entertainment lined up, so the atmosphere will be electric. You might wake up on a Monday morning, but if you visit O’Neill’s you’ll be partying like it’s Friday night!”

With its typically warm Irish welcome, the pub is open to anyone who wants to join in the fun. Guinness drinkers recently voted O’Neill’s the best place to enjoy that all-important pint of Guinness. So, where better to sup the black stuff than at O’Neill’s on St. Patrick’s Day.

On top of all that, visitors can try some favourite Irish meals, such as Steak and Guinness Pie or Guinness Battered Fish & Chips. For a great value meal, the Taste of Ireland menu at O’Neill’s has dishes ranging from Sausages and Colcannon to Irish Stew Crock Pot. Not only will the food fill up anyone ready to party until the early hours, but some products, including the steaks, are sourced directly from Ireland – so you really are tasting a bit of traditional Irish fare.

Damian O'Meara, manager of O’Neill’s Great Marlborough Street, added: “St. Patrick’s Day is one of the biggest events of the year. It provides everybody with a great excuse to enjoy the craic, regardless of their Irish heritage. There is nothing better than celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in an Irish pub, so grab all your mates, get down to your local O’Neill’s and enjoy the festivities!”
