Aubaine London Description
When Aubaine's founder came to London, he couldn't find the bread he liked in Paris, so he built his own boulangerie.
The result is Aubaine, a sophisticated, but relaxed re-invention of a French classic. The Aubaine product: the best bread and cakes you can buy. The Aubaine motto: man certainly cannot live by bread alone, but, on the other hand, wouldn't want to live without it.
Aubaine is French in inspiration, but London in execution. The interior design helps achieve this: full of air, light, fresh flowers and the delicious smell of baking. French country furniture is mixed with urban, industrial finishes. In summer, the glass frontage folds back so Aubaine becomes a part of pavement life.
It is like very old Paris, but it is also very new London....and totally Aubaine.
Aubaine is located at Brompton Cross: the heart of South Kensington, London's museum district where history and culture meet fashion and shopping.
In five minutes you can visit The Science Museum where they discovered dinosaurs. The Victoria & Albert Museum is four minutes away: this is the world's greatest museum of design. In three minutes you can be in the Brompton Oratory, a Victorian extravaganza of a Roman basilica. In less than a minute....Betty Jackson, Chanel or Joseph.
But people seem to linger in Aubaine. Despite the local attractions, they are in no hurry to leave. You could spend all day here. This is encouraged.
