Babel London Description

Infamous on the Clapham circuit, Babel is a vibrant and fun, late night bar.

The open plan bar, with floor to ceiling windows and wooden floors, creates a light and airy space during the day in which to put your feet up and relax. Perfect as a short break from shopping for a coffee, or a leisurely lunch over a bottle of wine from their expansive international wine list

In the evenings, Babel becomes the ideal meeting place. With full table service provided by knowledgeable, friendly and efficient staff.

The Food at Babel is designed to be shared. They specialise in platters and sharing dishes for groups to enjoy with their mouth-watering fresh fruit cocktails and are famous for their Weekend Brunch menu and the Biggest Breakfast in Battersea.

With friendly barstaff, delicious cocktails, and a classy yet unpretentious atmosphere, babel is the perfect start to a big night out, or the perfect end to a party that leaves you functioning the next day!

Customer Reviews for Babel

The following customer reviews are not endorsed by Fluid London and are simply those of users who wish to publish their independent experiences of Babel.

“Great bar to start evening off so hats off to them for that. But lacks Djs, music and vibe of the likes of Peacok Bar in Falcon Road or Lost Angel in Battersea Park Road or Lost Society on Lavender Hill. These venues also all have a 2am licence which is what you really need for a good night out!”

“They've just had a refurb and it looks amazing in there! Totally original. The bar was packed and the atmosphere was electric. A breath of fresh air on the otherwise tired Northcote Road.”

“So glad i found this laid-back bar that's trendy enough to attract interesting people; fun, fast, attentive barstaff devoid of attitude [so important - it really annoys me when I get served by someone sour-faced, ignorant & deliberately slow] and ever changing pages of fresh fruit cocktails great for my kind of vitamin intake. Highly recommended.”

“Enjoyed friday evening here visiting friends from London, glad to see that outside the west end people can look good but behave well when they're a bit drunk! Very friendly staff with a lot of patience for customers asking for weird foreign cocktails - like us. Definite date on my next visit.”

“Anyone who was at Babel just this new year's eve will know what a fantastic place for a party it is. I have lived and gone out all over London since I moved here and have had the best times down in Battersea's best venue. No frills, just excellent service, gorgeous cocktails and interesting people to meet!”

Loved

"By far my favourite restaurant in South London. I can't go on about this place enough. The food is consistently amazing, the atmosphere is perfectly Moroccan and the owner is so friendly he'll make you..." Which venue is this?

Hated

"Great decor and pleasant cocktails were spoiled by the unbelievably rude and arrogant staff. One to miss, unless you enojoy being treated like rubbish." Which venue is this?
