We arrived for my birthday at 8:15pm and the table was booked for 8pm, due to traffic on Fulham Road we were late by 15 minutes. On arrival an arrogant man asked us if we had booked in advance and I stated that we had, he then rudely commented that we were late and that we could go upstairs until the whole party had arrived. I found this exceptionally rude as they were arrogant and tried to portray a "snobbish" and "VIP" venue (which it wasn't). After drinks at the bar (which were extremely over priced and watered down) everyone arrived and were ushered upstairs and shown to our table. The service in the restaurant was a joke as we had to instruct the "barbie doll" waitress to take our order for a drink. 30 minutes later our drinks arrived and again we had to catch her attention to order our food. When the food came the portion sizes were adaquate for the prices, however, the menu prices are extremely mis-leading (maybe someone should tell trading standards). Ordering another drink was a mission on its own, the waitress were just chatting in the lift area and not doingtheir jobs. Once another drink was ordered it took 20 minutes before it arrived at my table. After the meal, the fun began, the bill came. It was a party of 8 and it totaled at £215 with £25 service charge for nothing!! Overall, the service was rubbish, what the point hiring a barbie doll as eye candy when she cannot do the job? 5 out of the 8 at the meal had the runs the next day!! I personally wouldn't go there again as service is rubbish, food isn't great and the drinks are well over priced. On a plus side they have got a good gimmick with the different levels and the location of the place, however, this isn't enough to make me spend my hard earnt money there again. I would rather pay £5 from the local burger and get the runs instead of paying what they charge!!”

Two weeks ago... at 900pm the guests began to arrive... Deciding to have my birhtday at this piquant venue was most certainly a wise decision. the venue's location speaks for itself; in the heart of trendy Fulham Road, surrounded by classy bars and restaurants, all guarunteed to wring your wallet dry, on one side sits South Kensington and on the other Chelsea. I could tell that my guests were already on a high just having walked from the station. Upon entering Cactus Blue they were confronted with a unique central, illuminated bar, always tended by one of those extrovert bottle juggling barmen. Also with a second mezzanine floor and a third floor for events all accessed by a metal and glass spiral staircase, there was plenty of room for different activities. So with the party swinging by 1030pm, i was relaxed. It is true the cost of drinks and food are on the steep side, but perhaps in line with the London prices in that area. However you definately get soem of the most freindly service i have recieved in london and the food is rather tasty and well presented too. Overall a pleasing venue, good for drinks or a meal on any night or as a starter to the night ahead.”
