Deep, chunky UK garage surrounds you as you walk down the up-lit catwalk a bar that in its time had a reputation with the it-crowd. Collection has since lost its status, however, but is still an impressive venue. High ceilings with plush, secluded seating if intimate, candle-lit conversation is your goal, the bar attracts a well-to-do clientele on their way back from a local spending spree.
The prices exclude the can-of-Carling crew anyway and music is somehow kept at a high volume, but without encroaching upon conversation.

Set in the heart of Chelsea, the enormous former warehouse of Katherine Hamnett became the celebrated bar and restaurant, The Collection in 1996. The restaurant menu falls under the category of Modern British, incorporating a wide range of culinary influences from many parts of the globe - seasonally adjusted and constantly revised using fresh organic foods.

Would not advise going to collection. The people there are either all eurotrash or everyone is very old, has a very seedy atmosphere and drinks are overpriced.”

I have been going here for a few years and had taken a break for a few months until the other day. I have realised that this place has definitely lost its shine. The sophistication and class as well as the gold diggers are long gone. On a saurday night it feels more like a rave scene. Still the walkway is impressive!”

Fabulous atmosphere. Crowd is young and fashionable and there are some beautiful girls in here, the sectioned off area always seems to be full of models! Recommended purely for the talent, although the drinks are great and the decor is pretty cool too!”
