If you’re partial to the more exotic alcoholic beverage, then Eclipse is the bar for you. With a limitless choice of cocktails expertly concocted (complete with fruit garnish) you could keep going back time and time again, having a different drink each visit. There’s even the odd cocktail exclusive to Eclipse, having been made and named by one of their very own bar staff.
When the temperamental weather permits, tables are laid out on the pavement allowing you to enjoy your drink whilst watching the world go by. Inside and the seating is laid out in two’s, making Eclipse the perfect venue to take a ‘date’.
Food wise, there is a selection of 5 or 6 side orders to choose from ranging from edamame to chicken chilli dumpling. Once tasted you’re more than likely to find yourself ordering another round.
As long as it’s not too busy, you have the choice to either order at the bar (allowing you to see your cocktail being created) or be waited on with table service.
At around 10pm a DJ begins to play some chilled house and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights clientele are treated to an accompanying bongo player.
If your preferred drinking hole is somewhere you can have a pint with a bunch of mates, then this probably isn’t the place for you. However, if you like your evenings more chilled and intimate, then pop down to Eclipse, unwind with a bottle of wine, or pick yourself up with one of their many cocktails.
