Essex Serpent London Review
Small boozer situated down King Street just off Covent Garden Market. Nothing flash, stylish or special about The Essex Serpent, but then this is perhaps the appeal of this pub. Not a huge area on the ground floor but it is cosy and there is more seating upstairs. Food looks very good value. A 'Burger & Chips' is only £5.45 and a 'Sausage & Mash' is £6.95, plus a bottle of wine is only a tenner - bargain. With a juke box, sky TV, fruit machine and friendly staff The Essex Serpent is all geared up for the inquisitive tourist and penny saving local.
