Like a crescendo in a piece of music, Rising Fridays aim to seduce you into the charms of the Lounge, and gradually escalate the senses, with its programming of uber-cool and aurally amazing nights such as Hat Club, Azuli and many more. Dancing in a venue of the
RS Lounge's calibre requires equally sound-defining music and with Rising Fridays, we have the perfect combination.
Rising Fridays will get you acquainted with some of the finest clubnights around and, collectively, will let its unique breed of ground-breaking, cutting-edge music take control and lead you to the dizzying heights of the future sounds of London.
Hat Club started in London back in late 2003, by a group of friends who wanted to promote their own club night but without being able to afford big name DJs. One of the main promoters of the night had a penchant for hats, and so, they decide there and then on their unique selling point. Hats! Fast forward nearly 5 years and you have one of the most successful, cult, club phenomenon’s of recent times.
With residencies in 17 venues across the UK and across the world, through to Shanghai and Dubai. Add to the mix the cream of house music’s rising talents: Jason Herd, Filthy Rich, Jonathan Ulysses and Prok ‘n’ Fitch – and you have a night that’s all about maximum fun and minimum effort! Oh, but don’t forget your hat!
Hat-Club will bring to the night its filthy house music policy along with clubbers with a liking for funky head gear – a match made in heaven!
Delivering the sound track for the night is DJ Roo – one of Hat-Club’s longest serving DJs – whose passion for good old-fashioned house music has lead to him remixing for the likes of Danny Howells and Carl Kennedy, and club residencies at Dusted and Renaissance.
Joining Roo are two thirds of the Ninja Cowboys - Johnny Mikes and Cozzy D. Be prepared to be taken on a journey of house, electro, techno and even acid, as they take over the decks for the night in a back2back performance of aural pleasure!
Hat-Club started by word of mouth alone in a small bar in London, back in 2004. Now approaching its fourth birthday, it has solid flagship parties in Brighton and Southend, and tours all over the UK from Leeds to Belfast and Sheffield to Swansea - not to mention parties in Ibiza and Dubai.
The rules of Hat-Club are simple, don’t talk about Hat-Club and don’t forget your hat! You’ll feel left-out without one! Ssshhh…
