Jamm London Description
Jamm is a unique and unrivalled music venue set in the beating heart of south London. With space for nearly 600 people spread over 2 rooms and bars, this venue has been the electrifying scene for a dizzying number of extraordinary artists from a variety of music scenes.
Punk gods The Clash, indie super group The Good, The Bad & The Queen, dance pioneers Hot Chip, Tom Middleton and Basement Jaxx, Country acid beatniks Alabama 3 and legendary ska revivalists The Specials are just a few of the 3,000 plus bands, DJs and musicians who have played here and left music-lovers wanting more.
As well as the incredible gigs and club nights which house the cream of the music scene, comedy nights, jam sessions and community events regularly take place in a safe and relaxed atmosphere where only the air conditioning keeps the guest cool in this south London hot spot. Many top gigs taking place throughout London's giant venues spill over into an after party in Brixton Road.
Since the creation of the venue as it stands from a tapas bar nearly 5 years ago, the fantastic facelift it was given has gained Jamm a rare reputation in both style and programming to what other few places in the UK's capital would dare.
That is, host a variety of nights where a quality mixture of guitar-based musicians entertain alongside the best underground DJ's from across the globe.
Jamm as a venue offers a space in addition to the night life that appeals to artists, photographers, film makers and events organisers alike. The character within offers a certain quality while also being a space that can be transformed to the desire of the individual.
Jamm is the home of all vibes and all tribes, an easy-going arena for the strange and the remarkable; the brilliant and the creative.
