Royal Exchange Grand Cafe & Bar London Description
The Royal Exchange is one of the City's most magnificent landmarks. Built in 1565, it has survived two fires and its grade 1 listed columns and arches are now home to luxury shops and the aptly-named Grand Café & Bar. In the airy, original courtyard a chic oval bar serves a superb selection of crustacean. Above and all around is a series of wonderful stone-wall mezzanines housing two chic bars, an unique private dining room and Restaurant Sauterelle.
The modern D&D London menus include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The Royal Exchange Grand Café and Bar's head chef Oliver Prince brings his passion and enthusiasm of cooking with seasonal ingredients to create simple, tasty, skilful and well balanced dishes. Oliver Prince's repertoire combines old Café favourites together with a selection of his own, perhaps a Chicken Club, Shellfish cocktail, a chilled Gazpacho or Eggs Benedict to name but a few.
Its location means the Grand Cafe attracts smart local business professionals, wealthy shoppers and tourists who use it as an atmospheric pit stop any time of the day.
