The Scarsdale, situated near Kensington High Street on the corner of one of London's most elegant square gardens, is a quintessentially English pub with a modern twist. The interior is all dark wood with an impressive bar and traditional fittings, very cosy in the winter, and in the summer the pub boasts a beautiful front garden adorned with hanging baskets of flowers. In recent years there has been, as with so many pubs, an increaing emphasis on food, and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes (some quite pricey) all cooked in the open kitchen at the back of the restaurant area. There is a large selection of wines and bitters (including guests), as well as all the other usuals. With a great atmosphere, the Scarsdale is an ideal place to kick off a friday night or enjoy a more relaxed Sunday lunch. It does get busy, so be warned. A thoroughly enjoyable place to spend a couple of hours.”
