Thai Square Angel London Description
The Thai Square Restaurant Group was founded in 1996 when the first Thai Square opened in The Strand in central London, aimed at serving tasty, authentic Thai food in Thai-inspired surroundings. There are now eight London-based restaurants and one restaurant outside London, in Windsor, which opened in April 2003.
Thai Square uses authentic Thai ingredients freshly flown in daily from Thailand, in a range of exquisite dishes served by their charming and attentive Thai staff. The appeal of Thai cuisine lies in fresh flavours and in featuring some dishes that have a kick of chilli. Diners with a more European taste simply need to ask for their favourite dishes with a less spicy flavour - Thai Square are happy to oblige.
The interior at Thai Square restaurant fuses the best of modern European design with elements taken from modern Thai décor and traditional Thai artefacts. Brushed steel and concrete work remarkably well with the wood, cooper, bamboo and grey slate - perfect foils for some impressive Thai artefacts - prayer scrolls, ornate dragons and buddhas - and indigenous Thai art. Red lacquered hairs and dark wood tables set the scene for the dining experience to follow. The ambience in the restaurant is designed to create a warm, friendly, authentic Thai atmosphere.
Thai Square is open from noon to 3pm and 6pm to 11pm, Monday-Saturday. The basement bar at Thai Square has a capacity for 100 people and is licensed until 2am, Tue-Sat.

Wow but this place really stinks. Maybe the worst restaurant in the world!! The staff would make the warders of nearby Holloway Prison seem gracious and inviting, they did everything to make my friend and myself uncomfortable! I asked for a finger bowl after the messy ribs and was told simply 'No!' whereupon the waitress then stalked off. We left no tip and as we left the staff called out 'good, leave!'. Avoid this place like the plague my friends - there's another really nice Thai further up the road.”

Horrible! I've now given them two chances. The first time, the food was like an M & S microwave meal and the service extremely curt. The second time, the shockingly rude waitress refused to let us sit at a corner table set for four (there were 2 of us), even though it was 9 PM on a Tuesday night so the place was practically empty. When we politely said that perhaps we should go elsewhere, the waitress replied, "We don't care. Leave." Avoid this dump at all costs.”

Awful!! Over priced and starters were still part frozen or cold in middle. Had green thai curry for main that was watery and tasteless. I've tasted better thai food served in pubs. The only friendly service came as we left as they expected a tip. We left nothing and will not be going back!”
