“I've been visiting the Blue Post for several years (about 6 weekends a year) with the latest visits 12 & 19 July. Even tough not large has a great crowd and packs them in Sunday evenings, which are fantastic!!! Mike and the staff are keen to make visitors welcome as do the regulars! Looking forward to visiting again the 1st 2 weekends of Nov. ---of course bringing some friends by thourghout the week to show them where to hang out when in London. Hope that OK...LOL!!
The lovely platinum blond in the sunsdress...was perfect for the time of year and locale!! Good range of patrons!! Fantastic music!!!”

“This was the first pub I found in London, and ended up my favorite. I had the Blue Posts omelet one night and a corned beef with beetroot sandwich on my return visit. Both meals were excellent and great value. Has the old England pub atmosphere in spite of being close to Piccadilly circus. Beautiful very large wood bar. Not a lot of seating but many patrons have one drink and move on, so seats open up quick.”

“The Blue Posts is run by the staff from the former King's Head in Newport Place, Chinatown. Michael and A (yes that's his full first name!) are changing the place day by day for the better. Can be counted amongst the few West End locals. Friendly, good draught bitters (London Pride and Timothy Taylor Landlord - £2.50 - and a good selection of Belgian beers on draught and bottled). Ample portions of freshly cooked food available daily until 9 p.m. and proper Sunday Roasts, with VERY reasonable prices and a variety of specials, differing daily. No TV, just good background music, mainly traditional. Most attentive and friendly staff. Upstairs bar available (often used for play readings and the like). Decor being refurbished as money and time (all done by the "Guvners" in out-of-hours time) permit. The sort of place one can spend a few hours and not notice the time fly. Mixed, friendly crowd. Be careful, you might get caught up in somebody's birthday party or some other celebration! Who cares if it is a smallish pub, it's the only one I go to in the West End.”
