The Bull 100 Upper St, Angel, Islington, London, N1 — view map
The Bull London Review
Slap bang in the middle of Upper street, The Bull has a good set up and a nice location. Rather plain and formulaic downstairs, the upstairs offers chopping block style tables, a big mirror looking down on the bar and a comfy seating area.
Red and creams dominate whilst the windy staircase takes you up to the open kitchen upstairs. An added bonus if you were looking to hold a function somewhere is that The Bull offers their upstairs free of charge. This is offered between Sunday and Thursday but management request a minimum of 40 and do not offer any service. Its basically just a room that you can have to yourself and you'll have to go down to the bar yourself. But still nice to know.
Sausages and mash is the style of food on offer, and dotted with black and white photos, lilies on the bar and a pool table in the corner The Bull is an alright bar to visit. The big conservatory like doors open up in summer but there seems to be no set clientele, other than quite a few couples.
