Trader Vic's London Review
Book a table at Trader Vic's
Trader Vic's is featured in these Guides:
Trader Vic's is a large bombed out hut with scattered tables and a beached old bar with hawaiian dressed bartenders, the only thing missing is the sea and sand at the other side of the hut. Down some stairs at the side of the London Hilton in Park Lane is where you will find this holiday in the smoke.
Trader Vic's forte has to be the list of crazy cocktails many of which insist on a little indulgence. Some of the world's finest bartenders and mixologists have emanated from Vic's bar, giving it one of the best reputations in the industry.
Trader Vic's is synonymous with innovation and famous for creating it's own style of cuisine called ''Island'' food. Based on some of the world's best culinary techniques, Trader Vic's starts with only the freshest ingredients from around the globe. The chef's then employ a variety of Multi-ethnic Island cooking methods, a true blend of French, Oriental and American cuisine that brings out the best in seafood, meats and vegetables.

“I had great expectations of a fun night with great food & great cocktails but was disappointed. The service was poor. Food dropped on the table and left, a buttered knife dropped on my lap - no offer of paying the dry cleaning bill and worst of all, desert plates cleared as and when each individual finished - us Brits don't do that; even the staff in my local pub wouidn't do that. It's a basic part of waitress etiquette! It could have been a good night, we knew the food was a rip off (steak and one potato wedge £29.50, one scoop of ice cream £7) but thought the quirky decor and cocktails would make up for it. Sadly they didn't. They wondered why we didn't pay the £74 service charge - they need to buck their ideas up!”

“I realy do love this little hidden treasure.
its been around for 40 odd years and still excellent to survive the vicious competition out there.
The staff, management, just everyone envolved with anything are true, hardworking, and wel accomodating.
I wish this venue many more years of success. Elsy”
