If Frith Street is the centre of Italian culture in London then Bar Italia is the Vatican. A small coffee bar, apparently unchanged in years, it simply oozes Latin charm. At any time of the night, you'll have to queue for a coffee and there will be no room inside to drink it. Instead, you'll have to join the crowds outside, lounging over their Vespas in tight white t-shirts & Levis, gesticulating wildly and gawping at the women as they pass by.
Bar Italia is an institution in London and being one of the only places you can go at any time of the day or night, it certainly has its benefits.

“Come on!!!! you get a good coffee in this place, its a Soho institution but I would not agree with "latin charm" or "one of the finest coffee houses in London", as I read in another review. If Bar Italia was in Italy, it would be in the back of beyond of some remote village dump and attended only by the ageging men of such village.
Service has got a bit of attitude, but I don't mind! Bar Italia is just Bar Italia.”

“Great atmosphere, Great coffee and even better Hot Chocolate. Go at 6.00 Sunday tea time to see the scooters riders pull up to compare notes and drink coffee. It is very busy but worth the wait for a table.”
