Cafe Kick London Review
For those of you with a taste for the Latin side of life, then you can’t do much worse than the small – yet perfectly formed – Cafe Kick in Exmouth Market.
This intimate place has gone for the European theme with a vengeance – and has pulled it off beautifully. Gazing around the walls, there is definitely a football theme with homages being paid to the great Spanish and Italian teams. but it is the food and drink which scores highest.
Serving a wide range of Spanish, Italian and other European beers, happy hour is from 4pm to 7pm with a ‘beer of the day’ available for £1.50 a throw.
Aside from the classy (yet affordable) drinks, there is an excellent menu which is one of the best-kept secrets of the area. Decidedly well priced, it offers tasty treats like tomato and mozzarella sandwiches for £4 as well as bar snacks like Spanish olives and chilli peanuts.
A daily special is always available with dishes like chilli con carne for £4.50 and when you couple this with a good range of juices and fruit drinks then it becomes easy to see why the locals love it.
Saturdays are more laid back in Cafe Kick but Fridays evenings sees the place brimming with workers who have finished for the week. As manager Charles says: “We get some brilliant people in here. It’s definitely a fun place to be.”
Cafe Kick also plays host to the most fiercely competitive table football league in North London. With three (count ‘em!) tables near the entrance you can always be assured of a crowd acting out their favourite football fantasies.
Altogether, a fun bar with a good atmosphere.

“I love this great little bar, it's especially good in summer when everybody spills out onto Exmouth market, it makes me feel like I'm on holiday!! The cocktails are all made fresh and infront of your face which I like as I like to see everything go in, you sometimes have to wait a little but thats because the staff are taking pride in their job, which is nice to see, they must make hundreds of cocktails a night!!! The babyfoot is always a good way to meet people and make friends, and the music they play always gets my hips swinging. If you haven't tried cafe kick, yoiu really should pop in and give it a go...you won't be disappointed!!! :-)”

“Cafe Kick is a cracking bar with great atmosphere! Guys behind the bar are welcoming portuguese patriots! No pretentious people, just quality drinks, great latin groove music and average prices. Had a great light meal in there too.”

“This is an awesome cafe-bar. For me it is reminisant of cool local bars in small town South America. This place has loads of character but the ultimate reason to visit Cafe Kick (other than the foosball tables) is the Excellent Cocktails. I've been to Rio, but the Caipirinha's were better than in RIO! We had FUN that night. LOL!”

“I used to live across the street from Cafe Kick and frequented my favourite bar every day (almost) some of the most fun I had was at the humble cafe kick on a Friday when it was jam packed with suits and eccentric artists. My friend met her husband there. Cafe Kick rocks.”
