Movida London Review

Fluid London has yet to review Movida. Venue managers get in touch to arrange a review

Movida London Description

In June 2005, Chinawhite co-founders, Fred Moss and Marc Merran, joined forces with Samy Sass of Monaco's Sass Cafe fame, and launched London's most significant and equisite nightlife venue - Mo*vida.

Movida, situated in Argyll Street, is built amidst the vaults of the London Palladium. As part of the pedigree line of Iceni, Chinawhite, Aura, Sass Cafe and Fifty, this luxurious venue is poised to reinvigorate London's elite nightlife.

With raw brick arches and original features meticulously restored, a timeless and elegant international atmosphere has been created at Mo*vida, breaking away from the traditional approach of themed club venues. Every aspect of Movida's design was borne from the desire to defy expectation and to create a destination which is glamorous and stylish sanctuary.

Movida offers an open-plan 400 capacity club-room, a 75 person lounge, plus a 50 capacity VIP room. The restaurant seats up to 70 guests who can dine in European style and enjoy a pre-club culinary experience of Italian, French or English cuisine.

In keeping with the premium design of the venue, Mo*vida has teamed up with the finest global names and features music overseen by resident DJ, Vittorino, brought over from Flavio Briatore's exclusive Billionaire Club, Sardindia. The VIP room, with its velvet divans, is situated off the club-lounge and caters for the highest A-list needs. Sponsored by prestigious champagne marque Dom Perignon, the area boasts its own concealed and secluded entrance, for those that are camera shy. Valet parking and designer-dressed hosts and hostesses complete the unique experience, fuelling the dawn of aa new nighthlife experience.

Entrance to Movida is for members and their guests only, or via an invited guest list.

Customer Reviews for Movida

The following customer reviews are not endorsed by Fluid London and are simply those of users who wish to publish their independent experiences of Movida.

“I've been to Movida three times now - all on Saturdays. The first two times were amazing, the crowd was great, music was perfect and service was extraordinary!! However, returning this weekend proved to be a very unpleasant surprise...the crowd seemed to resemble a university's dancefloor, the music was everything else but good and the bouncers were very rude. Definitely not returning to movida - the hype has definitely disappeared!”

Loved

"Totally awesome! Went for a night out in town with friends and after reading the raving reviews, we decided to give Aqua Spirit Bar a try. And, yes - it’s a winner! We all agreed that Aqua is THE place..." Which venue is this?

Hated

"Firstly the location, don't come here unless you like parking at the back of a dodgy industrial estate and hunting for the restaurant amongst blocks of flats. We arrived for our meal and were told there..." Which venue is this?
