“Nicest place in Ealing, hidden away near the more popular Drayton, Cool music, nice cocktails. Not too expensive. Nice alternative too Ealing broadway!”

“Read all good reviews about this bar on Fluid Foundation , so had too check it out myself. Great decor , relaxed cool atmosphere. Great starting point for a night out or just a chilled drinks with friends. The doors were fully opened onto the pavement giving that european bar feeling on a sunny evening. Though had to wait to be served at bar for some time as only one bar tender serving on a Friday night.Well recommend this bar too everyone I know. Happy Drinking !”

“Wow wow wow - I LOVE this place... so cool for ealing to have somewhere so chilled and funky. Particular great as it is not commercial and you do not have dirty old beer mats advertising 'Castlemaine' all over the place. The decor is amazing - somewhere that you feel relaxed in and could sit in for hours. This is definitely my new regular!”

“Great little converted contemporary wine bar. Use to be Bolands – a quiet, tiny old man’s pub. However, it’s hasn’t just turned into the usual poncey wine bar. It’s well hidden away from the array of central Ealing bars & pubs which is probably a bonus while still easy to get to – 30- secs walk from W.Ealing station/3 mins from Uxbridge Rd. 10/15 mins walk from Ealing Broadway.
Staff are friendly, helpful & make up good, if slightly pricey cocktails (off happy hour)! Décor is the main attraction – nice, cosy and dark but not in a ‘dingy’ way because the sand coloured walls reflect nicely off the candlelights, inviting you into its warm atmosphere. Good for escapists!
On a down side, no draught beer, typical wine bar music & a little more pricey than your average pub but that’s to be expected - & the bar staff do give change in those silver plates! Also, can get pretty busy weekends but that’s due to the increasing popularity and word of mouth!

“This bar screams of understated style. When you enter the two-tier (with mezzanine) construction impresses right from the off. Oodles of candlelight and nicely placed uplighting sets the mood, and the music is funky without being obtrusive. Decor is minimal, neutral and tasteful; the clientele are the focus, as they should be. The cocktails are reasonably priced (with happy hours making them even more so!), and are extremely well thought-out and executed. This place is a little gem in West Ealing, and deserves to become a Mecca for the West London stylistas. It's my regular now!”

“Very quiet in the week but has a nice feel to it, much better than the pub it has replaced! Drinks are nice, but cocktails are on the pricey side and aren't always what you would expect. That said, there have already been many good nights enjoyed there so it is throughtly recommended”

“Went to The Avenue for new years eve and had a great time - absolutely amazing decor, very loungy feel with candle light on the walls. Exactly what ealing needed - a west end style bar but locally - great for walking to for locals :-) Also really cool plasma with funky images behiond the bar - really addictive!!! Drinks (especially cocktails) were very nice. Highly recommend it. Been there 4 time since and enjoyed it every time.”
